Thomas Muller scores his first goal since March 2018 and assisted his first since October 2017 as Germany crushed Latvia 7-1 in their final Euro 2020 warm-up game.

After an interesting first half that saw goals from Robin Gosens, Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan, Muller, Serge Gnabry and an own goal, the game was put to bed by the break.

The second half saw Chelsea striker Timo Werner and Leroy Sane add their names to the scoresheet.

Captain Manuel Neuer became the first Germany goalkeeper to reach 100 caps and was given a guard of honor before the game.

Germany last 7:1 win was a semi finals against Brazil in the 2014 world cup in Brazil. This win gives soon outgoing Manager Joachim Low side hopes ahead of Euro 2020.

Germany face world champions France in their opening Group F fixture on 15 June. Portugal and Hungary are also in the group.
