
According to Reports from BBC sports, Mount and Chilwell were seen hugging and speaking to Chelsea team-mate Billy Gilmour at length after Friday’s draw with Scotland.
Gilmour had tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss Scotland’s final group game against Croatia on Tuesday.
The England boss had this as his reaction: “We don’t really know at this point whether they might be OK for tomorrow or they could be out for 10 days. There’s a lot of unknowns, frankly, at this time.”
“I can’t say it isn’t disruptive,” said England boss Gareth Southgate.
BBC sports Reports that the entire England squad had lateral flow tests on Monday afternoon and all were negative.
In a statement, the FA said it would hold further talks with PHE before taking further action.
“The pair will be kept away from the rest of the England players and wider support team, pending further discussions with PHE,” read the statement.
“We will continue to follow all Covid-19 protocols and the Uefa testing regime, while remaining in close contact with PHE.”
