Manchester United fear another huge protest by supporters before their Old Trafford date with Liverpool next Sunday, with local police already on red alert according to Skysport.

The fans had protested at Old Trafford back in May when Liverpool visited Old Trafford with the game being abandoned after supporters of the home team broke into the ground to demonstrate against the club’s owners the Glazers.
The Daily Star reports that the club chiefs are on ‘red alert’ ahead of the weekend’s clash against liverpool, with United fans suggesting they make it ‘Round Two’ in posts over social media.
According to the reports, officials have already been in contact with Greater Manchester Police and local authorities to plan in the event of any protests after being caught somewhat off-guard by the last incident, which occurred on a day the match was due to be played behind closed doors.
The atmosphere could be worse as the home fans are currently not impressed by there recent games despite a proper summer transfer that brought Cristiano Ronaldo back at the club.
