Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski scored twice to help his side retain the German Super Cup for the firth time in six years with a 3-1 win over Bundesliga league rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Lewandowski put Bayern in front shortly before half-time, before Thomas Muller added a second just after the restart.
Marco Reus pulled a goal back for the hosts at Signal Iduna Park on 64 minutes.
But Lewandowski restored his side’s two-goal lead 10 minutes later with his 24th goal in 24 games against his former club.
Bayern celebrated while paying tribute to late Gerd Muller who died early this week.

Rumours over Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo potentially leaving have been rife in recent days, so much so that the player himself has come out to clarify the talk about his future warning those using his name around.
But the 36-year-old Portuguese forward said he was “focused on his work” despite reports linking him with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
The Portugal captain called rumours “a disrespect for me as a man and as a player”.
He added: “Less talk and more action, this has been my guiding motto since the start of my career.
“However, in view of everything that’s been said and written recently, I have to set out my position.
“The frivolous way that my future is covered in the media is disrespectful to all the clubs involved in these rumours, as well as to their players and staff.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Real’s new boss Carlo Ancelotti had responded to the rumours in a tweet, dismissing speculation of Ronaldo returning to the Spanish club.
“Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and he has all my love and respect. I have never considered signing him. We look forward. #HalaMadrid,” he wrote.

Ancelotti’s tweet appears to have been prompted by a report by Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, which claimed on Monday night that a reunion between Real and Ronaldo was a possibility, three years after he left the club to sign for Juventus in a Β£99.2m deal.
The draw ceremony for the 33rd edition of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon will take place on Tuesday 17 August 2021 at the Yaounde Conference Centre from 7:00 p.m. (local time) and 6:00 p.m. (GMT).

Gerd Muller was the last player to score 10+ goals in one World Cup. Scored 30+ club goals in 12 consecutive seasons. Top scorer in the CL in 4 seasons, in the Bundesliga in 7. Only player since 1962 to score 50 international goals at more than 1.0 per game.
Muller won the Golden Boot for netting 10 goals at the 1970 World Cup and scored a record 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga games and 66 goals in 74 European matches during his 15 years at Bayern.
He also held the record for the most goals in a calendar year after scoring 85 in 1972 until Lionel Messi surpassed his total in 2012.

Affectionately known as ‘Der Bomber’, Muller originally joined Bayern in the summer of 1964 and won the Intercontinental Cup, three European Cups and a European Cup Winners’ Cup as well as the Bundesliga and DFB Cup four times each.
Shortly before his 70th birthday in 2015, Bayern announced Muller had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and is survived by wife Uschi and daughter Nicole.
