The PFA player awards means professional footballer’s awards and is given at the end of the season to both male and female players for they excellent performances all season. The award is handed to players who play in the premier league.

The Manchester city dominance continues

Manchester city was at it again.For the first time in the PL era, the winners of the PFA Young Player of the Year Player of the Year have come from the same club as both midfielders won the award for the male category. Phil Foden won the  prestigious young PFA to add to his Premier League young player of the season prize.

“I was always just focused on the club and playing here,” Foden told mancity.com. The 21yrs old also emphasized on the fact that he trusted in Pep and that has paid off big time.

“I trusted the manager and the things he was telling me and the advice to keep going and working hard and you’ll get your opuntias.

“I just knuckled down, trained properly every single day and it is starting to pay off now. The midfielder enjoyed an outstanding season to help Manchester City lift the Premier League and Carabao Cup.

Kevin De Bruyne become the 6th player with 2 PFA Players’ POTY trophies and the 3rd player to win two consecutive POTY trophies after Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 29-year-old was also nominated as vice-captain at the beginning of the season, and feels that his new-found responsibility has helped him to reach new heights. His influence on the pitch cannot be overstated and, when called upon, he has thrived in a more advanced role in the absence of recognised forwards Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester city female forward, Lauren Hemp was named PFA young player of The year for the second time. One of City and England’s brightest stars and most influential attacking talents, the 20-year-old overcame an early-season injury to make 23 appearances in league and cup, scoring 10 goals.

Reflecting on her latest achievement, Hemp said: “I can’t believe I’ve been awarded this accolade for a third time – it feels so special to be successful from an incredible shortlist.

“For me, this is one of the best awards to win as it’s chosen by my fellow professionals – it’s a real honour and I can’t thank them enough for voting for me.

“Since I first won it in 2018, I feel like I’ve improved so much – I’ve been fortunate to have worked with some amazing coaches in my career so far, but I know that I’m not the finished product yet and I’ll be continuing that hard work looking to the future to be the best that I can be.”

To crown it all, Chelsea FCW and England Lionesses Fran Kirby was named PFA women’s player of the season. 🏆

She is Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer Kirby, 27,he won ahead of team-mates Sam Kerr and Ann-Katrin Berger to receive the honour for the second time, after winning in 2018.
