Former Benfica Boss is Wolves new manager

After Nuno Espirito Santo’s remarkable four-year reign as head coach at Molineux came to an end as the Premier League season had concluded; Nuno signed a new three-year deal at Wolves in September 2020 but left by “mutual agreement”.

Bruno Lage is Wolves new manager.

According to Skysport, Formal Benfica manager Bruno Lage has been appointed by Wolves as their new head coach. Lage, who has been out of work since leaving Benfica last summer, was the club’s number one choice following the surprise departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 45-year-old flew to London for talks with Wolves’ chairman Jeff Shi and technical director Scott Sellars last month to begin negotiations over joining the club.

Lage won the Portuguese top flight in his first season, but the Benfica relieved him of his duties last summer.”Like his predecessor, Lage is a Portuguese manager represented by compatriot super agent Jorge Mendes.
