The fastest FIFA 22 players (announced so far)

9. Ferland Mendy
Club: Real Madrid
Pace: 92

On Ultimate Team last season, Ferland Mendy was one of the must-have left-backs and therefore one of the most expensive in the early stages of the game. One of the main reasons for this was his Pace, and he has kept the level of 92 for FIFA 22. When combined with his 78 defending, Mendy will once again be a good early option for a full-back regardless of your tactics.

9. Luis Diaz
Club: FC Porto
Pace: 92

Luis Diaz has enjoyed a rating increase of +2 from his initial FIFA 21 overall, jumping from 78 to 80 after his good season for Porto. Still with the Portuguese club, the Colombian winger has also kept his Pace of 92, though he may not be used too much in Ultimate Team given the lack of popularity of the Primeira Liga.

9. Kyle Walker
Club: Manchester City
Pace: 92

Kyle Walker is one of the fastest Premier League players and is proud of that fact, especially at the age of 31. So it’s no surprise he was annoyed when Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden played a prank, pretending his Pace on FIFA 22 was only 78. It’s actually 92, and the Englishman will be one of the fastest defenders in the game. Now all we need is for him to have a stormer at centre-back for an In-Form CB card as in FIFA 21…

9. Luis Quinones
Club: Tigres UANL
Pace: 92

The unknown entity of the top 10 so far, Luis Quinones currently plies his trade in Mexico with Tigres UANL and is a 76-rated right-midfielder. However, he comes with a Pace of 92, an increase of +1 from his initial FIFA 21 card, while his dribbling has also been boosted (though his overall has stayed at 76).

7. Kingsley Coman
Club: Bayern Munich
Pace: 93

Having had a good season with Bayern Munich in 2020/21 as they won yet another Bundesliga title, Kingsley Coman has seen his overall rise to 86 on FIFA 22 from 84 last year. One of the Frenchman’s standout attributes on FIFA is his Pace, which has remained at 93, making him once again one of the fastest players in the game. When combined with his Dribbling of 88, Coman could be an early favourite in Ultimate Team.

7. Theo Hernandez
Club: AC Milan
Pace: 93

One of the big ratings boosts from FIFA 21 to FIFA 22 belongs to AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez. The Frenchman was already popular in FIFA 21 with his overall at 80, thanks largely to his Pace of 92. But he will be even more popular in Ultimate Team this year, especially in the early stages, with a ratings boost of +4 to 84. As part of that, Hernandez now has Pace at 93. Just imagine how expensive he’s going to be…

6. Rafa
Club: Benfica
Pace: 94

If you have played Ultimate Team at all over the past few years and opened packs, there’s a high chance you’ll have received (and got fed up with) Benfica midfielder Rafa. Although the Primeira Liga isn’t a popular league that players use to build their squads around, the Portuguese midfielder is certainly an interesting player with 94 Pace, keeping his level from FIFA 22.

3. Vinicius Jr
Club: Real Madrid
Pace: 95

Moving onto the big numbers, Vinicius Jr has enjoyed an excellent start to the 2021/22 season with Real Madrid and although his overall on FIFA has remained at 80 from 21 to 22, the Brazilian will remain a good player to use. That’s because he has also kept his Pace of 95, with only two players faster than him so far.

3. Daniel James
Club: Leeds United
Pace: 95

Daniel James may not be a world beater, having struggled at Manchester United before making the move to Leeds United, but he remains a threat. His biggest attribute right now is his speed, and that is mirrored in FIFA 22, with a Pace of 95.

3. Achraf Hakimi
Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Pace: 95

Achraf Hakimi was one of the hot properties of the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain winning the race for his signature and having him as the first part of their frankly terrifying flank duo alongside Lionel Messi. After an excellent season with Inter Milan, Hakimi has seen his overall rise by +2 to 85 and his Pace has also increased to 95 — getting back to the level it was in FIFA 20 after a drop of one.

2. Alphonso Davies
Club: Bayern Munich
Pace: 96

Alphonso Davies didn’t have the best of seasons last year as he struggled with injury problems early on, not to mention he had placed the bar so high after his 2019/20 as Bayern won the Treble. However, he remains one of the most talented young full-backs in world football and one of the quickest men. After an increase in his Pace to 96 in FIFA 21 (from 91 in FIFA 20), Davies has kept his speed level for FIFA 22 — though he is no longer the joint-fastest player (excluding Icons).

1. Kylian Mbappe
Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Pace: 97

Kylian Mbappe is one of the best players in the world and one of the best in FIFA 22, with his overall of 91 bettered only by Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. Where the Frenchman is unrivalled, however, is his speed as Mbappe has had an increase of +1 to take his Pace to 97 for FIFA 22 – higher than any other non-special card. But Mbappe is almost-guaranteed to get In-Form cards in FIFA 22 so it won’t be too long before he has 99 Pace on Ultimate Team.
